PROBE/iX is a full-featured performance monitoring and management tool for the HP3000 computer systems. It includes an interactive performance monitoring tool for ad-hoc investigation and monitoring of system performance. In addition, PROBE/iX includes a batch data collection tool that collects the raw data and stores that data in a series of logfiles. A logfile data reduction program is provided to summarize the data collected and store it in a TurboImage database. Having the summarized data in a TurboImage database allows you to then analize and report on that data in whatever way you wish and using whatever tools you prefer.
